Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lysande is a calm and gallant dragon. Amusingly, he has been known to rescue human princesses from other dragons, and return them to the king, declining any offered reward unless it is in the form of silver coins. He wears a network of silver metals in an armor over his whole body, and the cascading ringing sounds that the armor makes as he moves heralds his arrival before him. He is an extremely skilled fighter, and claims trophies from his victories in the form of scales, which he hoards like any good dragon hoards things.
