Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Fortis Senipes is the bane of wild beasts. Despite him being only the size of his species' namesake, Fort is never afraid of wildcats and other large beasts that feast on normal horses. When he was but a hatchling, he and his best friend Ferus Torvacattus managed to sneak out of their cave and go exploring. They soon ran into a full-grown lynx, one that had a very short temper. He thought the two young dragons were mere prey and attacked. Fort's fast reflexes saved him as he reared up and kicked the dumb animal square in the face just as it would have sunk its teeth into his neck. The two friends worked together and managed to drive off the angry beast, even leaving it with a limp as a reminder not to fool with dragons. Today, his speed is matched only by Occultus, and his favorite Games Guild sport is racing, obviously. He works in Dec's mine in exchange for special horseshoes that make him go faster. What he does in the mine is haul the excess rock to the surface.
