Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Bad Chemistry finds herself frequently dismayed at her inability to pass the gift of vampirism to pygmy dragons and drakes. From her perspective, the worst that can happen to a starving vampire is a state of torpor—something they can always be awakened from—while a starving dragon of the regular kind has no such benefit. Instead, it faces death and decay, notions that deeply unsettle her. Of course, vampires can be killed just as well, she argues, but according to her it takes a dimwitted fool to die passively when blessed with vampiric undeath. When adult dragons deny her the right to grant their children not yet hatched her so-called 'improved immortality', she often loses her temper, accusing them of short-sightedness in their protectiveness.
