Radiant Angel Dragons are known for their intuition—they always seem to know when someone is feeling down, and will do what they can to provide cheer. These dragons are curious and will poke their noses into anything. They communicate with one another by making sounds similar to singing. It is said that the golden feathers shed from their whiskers can rekindle lost feelings of love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dawndust is an intelligent but strange dragon. He has a theory that ability of many dragons to breathe fire will be their downfall. Nobody knows why Dawndust has this idea. Some say that it is because his parents, who nobody knows of, died in a great forest fire long ago. Others say that it because Dawndust and his brother Duskdust were accidentally injured by Starry Firework, a Hellfire wyvern, when they were hatchlings.

  Dawndust lives in a little cave in a mountain in a mountain range known as "The Dragon's Teeth". He keeps a small hoard of interesting jewels and stones in his cave. Duskdust also lives in this cave and insists on adding useless items such as bird feathers and rabbit bones to Dawndust's pile of treasure. His job is a tricky one. Dawndust is an investigator, a dragon who checks out the scenes of crimes and discovers suspects.

  Dawndust likes to hang out with Duskdust and Sun of None. He's very curious and loves to go swimming often.
