Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mob Macavity is a proud Black, considering himself to be the Alpha female's main guard, as she is also his grandmother.  Mob is usually quiet and serious, only speaking up to offer a blunt, short opinion every once in a while.  He takes his job as Winged Nimbus' guard very seriously, never letting her out of his sight whilst she's out of the cave and always remaining within telepathy distance while she's resting.  His mate, Heart-Shaped Valentine, seems to be the only dragon capable of making him laugh; it is a rare sound heard in the cave, and one that all the dragons welcome and encourage.  Mob is fiercely protective of her and their children, and would hunt down and punish any that would have the nerve to steal one of his eggs, then allow it to perish.
