Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

He was old, had been for a long time. His bones creaked and protested every movement. Still, he had to get up. For nothing in the world would he miss this. He left the cave he claimed as his and was greeted by the sight of his numerous progeny all gathered in this place. They freed a path for him, made place in haste.

Novo Silvano is world-weary, the wise advisor of his family. He had been their leader long ago, and he had seen the cruelties of nature and dragons both. Some days, all he wants to do is rest eternally, but it's moments like these that make his life still worth it.

It's a boy, the nurse says, and he smiles. He can't quite remember how many generations are between them, but he doesn't care. One day he will fall asleep to never wake again, though he will be happy in the knowledge that his family prospers.
