When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kianna lives in a medium sized lake in the territory of a clan of abandoned dragons. As a hatchling, she swam into that lake though a shallow stream, and now is too large to leave. Sometimes she resents being trapped, but most of the time she is OK with it. At least she has a large supply of fish to eat.<br/>Ki has a bit of a mischievous streak, and likes to scare the dragons when they come to drink. However it is only a way for her to pass the time, as there isn't much to do in her lake. She has struck up a friendship with Kellin, a white Dragon.<br/>Kianna's parents are Kerya and Keiro, and her mate is Kellin. Hopefully some of her children will continue the legacy and have names starting with K.
