Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Shamira Kokoro, "guardian spirit", appears at first to be a stoic dragon. Every day, Shamira guards the hatchling-egg den vigilantly, carefully observing the landscape beyond. Shamira is thought to be mute by the other dragons because of her personality, but Shamira's inability to speak is due to her troubled past as an egg-hatchling, of which only her master knows. Her weakness is for young ones- Shamira only smiles for the adorable hatchlings that snuggle against her warm body when she beds down in their den for the night. She treats eggs as precious cargo; an egg that rolls astray is carefully scooped up by Shamira's shield-tail and put back into place with care. When on break, Shamira will scoop up the hatchlings with her tail and swing them gently- Shamira almost solely interacts with the eggs and hatchlings. Shamira's deepest, most treasured desire is to have a mate who understands her, and to be be surrounded and loved by her own eggs and hatchlings.
