Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Ainmhi a Cosaint- Beast of Protection. He is a peaceful creature, following the true nature of his breed and has found a kindred spirit in Ailbhe Ainmhi who he would give his life and soul for if she should ever need to be protected. He was the second Dragon that his mistress "Acquired" and although he is grateful to her from rescuing him from certain death he does not agree with the practices she employs, but until the day that she tries to cause him or anyone he cares for harm he will remain loyal to her. If he ever found out his mistress' true purpose for him and the rest of his kin he would be enraged for it is such a perversion of what he feels is his purpose in life. Another one who enjoys the quiet life, he frowns upon the actions of those Dragons his mistress commands that purposely seek to cause havoc and pain and because of this finds himself spending less time with the rest and more in seclusion. He frequently enjoys swimming in the lake by his home.
