Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Other dragons say that Abyss of Regret was abandoned as an egg. But that's all lies. She was forced out of her egg by a raging green dragon, and escaped to a place where she could hide among a pile of eggs. She spotted many humans, all trying to catch her for some reason. As fast as she could, she ran into a nearby cave, with plenty of other dragons, young and old, all nice and caring. When she matured and grew up, she always sat at her favorite perch, watching the pile of eggs and all the humans walking past it, regretting that she never saw her parents before she escaped, nor will ever see them.
