Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

At first glance, Vivecca is a cruel, hardened warrior, with impenetrable armor and unreadable motives to match. She is loyal to a fault will not hesitate to attack those she deems to be a threat, often times without question, which has left her with few friends outside her clan. Even her own clanmates that don't know her well feel a certain amount of fear when they see her glittering hide slink through the shadows. Piercing her tough armor is difficult, but once one can get through, she is a very kind, invaluable friend. Once her trust is gained, Vivecca will always be there for her friends, and if she fails them, she will feel as if she has failed herself. Vivecca puts loyalty to her clan above all else, even at the cost of others. Any insult to those she cares about is an insult directly to her.
