Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Cerise Brimling is the evasive and illusive daughter of Firey Brimrose and Amaranth Brimfire. She doesn't like to be around and will go out of her way to keep to herself. Many of the other hatchlings have made it a game to find her, much to her disdain. Because of this she has taken to hiding in more dangerous places, her current favorite is a hollow worn into the side of Meteor Shower Volcano. She's been caught only once, by Furious Wraith, who chased her away, leaving a gash in her tail. Despite this she quickly returned, desperate to get away from the annoying whines of her fellow hatchlings. No one understood why she wanted to be alone so badly so Soul Seer investigated and found her to be sensitive to emotion and all of their feelings were driving her crazy. Since then only the more caring or, in her mind, annoying hatchlings try to coax her home.
