Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Terror in the Night's exact place in the clan is uncertain, since even though she was introduced to the family as an egg, she has never said a word to anyone. The instant she could fly she left the safety of the main cave and found shelter further along the mountains, keeping her distance from the others at all times. Many speculate she is only part of the clan as she lives in the same territory, but is not truly part of the family.

Terror was so named because of her hunting habits. She likes to prey on isolated farms and castles in the middle of the night, snatching away any young children from their beds and playrooms and taking them back to her lair to feast upon. Many parents have woken up in the night to discover in their horror an empty bed or cradle, though since the location of her lair is unknown, there is nothing they can do.
