As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Luna, one of the nightglory drakes, is always quiet. She is not so much shy, but antisocial. The other dragons seem to annoy her. She can be found lounging around during the day, seeming to want nothing more than to leave the clan of dragons. By night, she becomes more active and kinder to those who are still awake. She is obviously a brilliant dragon who is very independent.

The only dragon she truly holds close is Dusk, the only other nightglory drake. Ever since he had arrived as a hatchling, she had tried to bond with him. Unfortunately, Dusk is impossibly colder than Luna, and still holds her quite a distance from him.
