Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It spends a lot of time stalking and pouncing playfully on the tails of adult dragons nearby.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A tiny dragon with a great love of tea, this female spends much of her time in pursuit of new things to brew. A pinch of that leaf, a hint of this flower, and so on and so forth until she's got something truly mouthwatering in her cup! Unfortunately for her parents, however, the plucky child doesn't limit her quest to just browsing through the local gardens; on more than one occasion they've had to snatch her away from the jaws of a raging vine dragon, the tiny hatchling howling all the while that she just absolutely NEEDS one of its leaves for her newest blend to work.
