Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon finds amusement in the young hatchlings scampering about. He is rather affectionate towards the crippled Sunset Dragon next to him. He seems to want to help her ailing forefeet, but doesn't know how.

Taikou was born on a faraway continent of many rivers. As a hatchling, however, he befriended a young Skywing and took to the skies on her mother's back. Together they traveled across the world, seeing many new species of dragon and eating many new kinds of food, especially delighting in the seasoned treats of a human encampment. However, in his late adolescence his cherished friend was struck by lightning, and her heart stopped instantaneously. Her body fell into the sea and was never recovered.

Torn by her loss, he soon settled down in his current residence, caring for a crippled dragoness who so much reminded him of his long-lost friend.
