Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Masquil, like most of his species, is a gentle dragon. He spends his time with his mate, Moon. At midnight, he ventures into the open plains to bask in the pale moonlight and absorb its energy. He has been known to approach children, and allow them to pet his wings. In the daytime, he is in the forest preening his mate or eating his favorite fruit, apples.
