Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Pat Oxalis was named for the icons of the festival season in which he was born—the festival of Saint Patrick. He doesn't mind that his surname comes from a plant rather than a mineral, but hopes it doesn't sound too feminine. He enjoys listening to mystery stories, preferring to have them be read to him instead of reading them himself. He finds reading from the parchments himself much too troublesome; he is afraid of damaging the paper the story is written on whilst reading, ruining the story for himself and others.
