Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shanaya of Alti'uin (Winged Huntress), is the third huntress of Arya's pack, others being Sei'lor Alti'uin and Bella Radiance. She is a fierce fighter too, and even though the pack promotes peace, she can drive the Elders mad with her insistent warmongering. She is a very arrogant and proud towards other dragons, and blindly follows Bella Radiance as her second shadow, even if she tries to repeal her.

Somehow, Albus the albino dragon convinced her with her love, even if at first she would repeal him. Together, they had a child, Lolimar of Aeran, who shares many of his mother's features. Shanaya didn't want to take care of him as any dragon mother should do, so she simply left him under Albus' care. Since then she lives alone, on the limits of the pack's territory. She trusts no one but her idol, Bella, though she never sees her anymore.
