Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blair hates his name. He hates it with a burning passion. Not because it's a feminine name. He hates it because the other dragons tease him for it.

Constantly.

He's repeatedly asked White-eye to perform the name-changing rite, but the Healer has been far too busy to attend to his whims—she's got eggs to check on, hatchlings to watch, injuries to tend, and illnesses to heal. She can't be bothered to use her one hour of free time in a day to change some dragon's name.

So, Blair is stuck with his name. At least, until he can convince some other dragon to perform the rite.
