Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon doesn't talk much, but he enjoys watching grass grow. He used to sit still for so many hours and days on end that the grass eventually started growing on him. Now he's covered in grass and unable to move. He just sits there and gently sobs as he watches the lawn growing around him and on his back. When it first happened he tried getting help, but everyone just stood around laughing at him. In his mind they all hate him. The whole world hates him.

Despite his ideas, what the rest of the cave really thinks about him is quite different than what you would assume. According to the vine dragons, he serves a double purpose; He's watering the lawn AND he's amusing to watch. Why should they free him when he's so useful as he is.
