Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon got his silly name from when he hatched. His owner and his mother's owner were smacking his egg, yelling at it to hatch, shaking it. "I've Got Laziness Syndrome", or "Lazy", as the other dragons call him, is actually much more productive than others of his kind. It could be that when his egg was shaken around, something clicked inside his body to make him more fertile.

Lazy is, well... Lazy. He hardly gets out of his pond-which has a fountain, too!-other than to chase hatchlings. He has a kink in his tail from when it was stepped on by the Stone Dragon of the clan when he was little. He gladly shares his pond with his children and his mates, but no one else. To violate this dragon's territory results in the violator's food being stolen for who knows long.

Lazy, overall, is a fun dragon to be around. He likes to make puns and bad jokes, and he uses his feathery tail to amuse the hatchlings while his owner is gone. But as soon as his owner comes back, he gets lazy again.
