Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zarawyn is the clan Mage. She is mysterious and powerful and mistrusted by others. They fear her strange ways with Magic, circulating rumors that do nothing but increase her mystique. She came to the clan from a distant tribe of magic users called the Awyn. Soon after she arrived, the current clan leader, Quiet Storm, was killed. Unlike most strangers who join the clan, Zarawyn never underwent a trial period. Instead, she spoke privately with the succeding Clan Leader, then known as Bright Storm. It was announced that she would join the clan, and there was to be no futher discussion. Mysterious things started happening to all those who opposed Zarawyn, and the dragons soon learned to leave her alone. She often spends late nights alone with the clan leader, and it wasn't long until Bright Storm announced a name change--to Kawyn, meaning Brightness of Fire. The other dragons wonder fearfully what this means for the future of their clan.
