Gold-horned Tangars are a brightly colored tropical breed. They are primarily herbivores, and eat a wide variety of fruits and flowers in addition to the occasional bird. Tangars are well suited to life in the trees; their slender bodies make them light enough to be supported by thinner branches and agile enough to avoid obstacles while flying. Their brightly colored horns, found in both males and females, are used to attract mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Beneath the earthy green that slides over each of his limbs, a beautiful fire spreads under his body. From an upwards glance he is like the earth, a mixture of every natural color, but as soon as he takes flight it is like an explosion, the fiery scales of his body lighting up each of his movements. Dappleleaf is a swift, fast flier and he loves nothing more then stretching his ego; it knows no limits. Flying is what he does best and he will do it whenever he has the chance. He believes he is the best; he is proud, and that pride often makes him act foolish and irrational. Reckless and rash, Dappleleaf is also very determined, when he isn't trying to impress every female he sees he will practice his flying until he is too exhausted to lift a wing. No matter how conceited he is no one can argue against the fact that he is committed and willing to go to any end to see the results he wants to see. His crimson eyes often burn with the passion that leaves him unwavering in any situation.
