Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
The cave mistress opened her door to the thunderous knocking and discovered the angry mob on the other side. They had gone all out, with flaming torches, harpoons and other instruments of a sharp and pointy nature.
Sakujun had been sinking ships in the middle of the night, as their continuous trawling had been robbing him and the other deep sea dragons of their food supply.
The cave mistress thought over their complaints, and then questioned the wisdom of attacking a woman living on an island in the middle of the night, especially as they had all arrived by boat.
As one man the mob turned to stare at the dark and choppy waters of the sea. They fancied they could see Sakujun's dorsal fin just peeking through the waves.
By the next morning not only had the cave mistress's house been painted, but her garden had been weeded and the fence mended. She sat happily on the steps of her house while the busy sailors got to work on digging over her potato patch.
