Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While Naar is not of a direct line of black dragons, there is certainly enough of them in his lineage for him to truly connect to his heritage of being a fierce warrior.  Oddly enough, Naar also seems to frequently visit his mothers side of the family, who is of a long line of golden dragon stock.  While Sinniba herself does not find his visits distasteful, many of the other golden dragons do not see likewise, and instead see Naar as a blemish on a otherwise perfect record of golden lineage.  There have been many skirmishes between groups of angry golden relatives and Naar's small gathering of supporters from other specie.
