Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Marhuine is a very non-social little soul, that spends her time watching the pink hatchies play from afar (which earned her the name 'Dwelling Darkness'). Her skin is usually pink, nearing red, which is most likely from sitting out in the sun for such a long time. Being young, Marhuine's skin doesn't yet produce a potent enough oil to protect her from the rays of the burning sun. Although it is fairly obvious her color is due to a sunburn, many young dragons joke about it being a blush from when some pink hatchie pointed out that the young albino was cute.
