Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Prince Saku, known behind his back as 'von Miau', is elegant, cultured... everything one might expect of a prince. He is careful to always mind his manners, and to ALWAYS behave like the prince he is. This leads him to occasionally come across as stuffy. Still, despite his somewhat temperamental nature, it is known that he generally means well. His prim and proper behavior, typical of his family, is where his somewhat unusual family name came from- if you believe the legend that is, which says that it was given by the dragons who believed that this behavior reminded them of a cat. There are many versions of the tale, many so embellished as to be far from whatever the original might have been, so that it may be entirely impossible to be sure of the truth of the story. Regardless, though, of the matter, the prince is understandably proud of his purely noble lineage, and he carries that admittedly odd family name as his own, with the pride and dignity that he feels it certainly deserves.
