Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Voltania is the Thunder daughter of TentaVitae the Vine and Strykster the Thunder. Unlike her overtly nervous father, Voltania easily mastered her control over electricity, and took to the air as soon as she grew her wings. Her first experience with a human other than her owner was a rather unpleasant one, involving lots of evil eye charms and garlic being waved about. Having learned from her owner of the bad luck her species was supposed to be an omen of, she soon took to appearing over human settlements and flying around the buildings while creating terrifying shapes with the lightning she generated. When her family found out about what she was up to, her father was horrified, her mother, owner and most other dragons amused, a few were thrilled and some disapproved. No one actually put a stop to her, and she now even has company while she is out scaring humans.
