Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Sentinel was born a protector, like all guardian dragons. But more importantly, he was raised by Water dragons and their kin; Shallow Water dragons and Two-Finned Blunas. There may have been an occasional Coastal Waverunner, but the Deep Sea dragons were always too deep underwater for Sentinel to see, due to the fact that his own weight prevented him from swimming, lest he be dragged under. So in turn for their kindness of raising him, Sentinel spends his sleepless days and nights by the ocean, protecting the dragons that live there from the humans who wish to take their boats to hunt the precious sea dragons. Some humans that pass by believe that the blue-gray dragon is a statue—or a sentinel, as the myth goes. That theory is usually only for those that don't believe in the existence of dragons.

Sentinel stands at 20' and has a wingspan of 30'.
