Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

After seeing a few unpleasant accidents caused by daydreaming farmers operating magical equipment, Poiu Y Trewq decided to become a healer. Several medical schools turned her away for not having creation-aligned magic. She picked up the medical textbooks anyways and read them though she couldn't get a licence to practice, and became an author of medical romance stories instead. Still, she dreamed about being able to heal the way the characters in her book did.

Years after she gave up on getting a licence to practice, a letter arrived in the mail. A certain Doctor Rivermane was founding a medical university. Poiu buried it under her latest manuscript. When she gathered the pages to take to the publisher, she finally read past the first line. "All students accepted—any species—any element." Poiu enrolled that afternoon, and a few years later became the first graduate of Open Medical University. She now uses her magic to ease pain of the injured, chronically ill, and surgery patients.
