Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Punctur is a strange one, compared to others of his kind. He can be helpful, and sometimes even caring. The truth is that he was raised by Cyaria, a white dragon, ever since she found his egg and the resulting bond has caused him to almost act like a normal dragon. Almost. Being what he is, the bloodlust within him still remains strong, but so does the some of the morals his "mother" has taught him. Thus, though he would love to sustain himself by attacking other dragons, the disapproving glance from Cyaria would be enough to convince him to go after deer, or something similar. Despite this, however, the others still fear and despise him. This does not bother him though, in fact, he enjoys it. This, and the fact that he is the eldest male of the cave makes him feel like a king, and he often tries get the other dragons to do what he wants, showing off his fangs if they don't.
