Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Thorgon Cosmos is a born warrior. Having a very long tail and incredibly sharp claws for a Nebula Dragon, he uses them as his primary weapons. He had his tail pierced with iron spikes when he was a young adult dragon, giving him an extra edge in battle. His current enemy is a group of rogue Ember dragons that serve as a threat to his territory. In battle, Thorgon is impulsive, putting all the power he can give into every strike. Because of this, he tires more easily. When his energy is spent, he soars up into the sky like an eagle, relying on dodging attacks with elaborate maneuvers. He is eagle-like in his personality, as well. He is very noble, masculine, and confident in all that he does. His mate is Nemiriel, of whom he is very protective and will let nobody hurt.
