It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Victor Court is a rather submissive dragon under most conditions. He is deeply in love with his mate, a Spitfire by the name Victoria Stein, and will do literally anything she says. His deepest fear is that one day he will lose her somehow, which makes him scared to upset her. The love is pretty one-sided, but attempts by other dragons to point this out to him have fallen on deaf ears. If pushed on the subject, he will say that "you're just jealous" and storm off. The only times he is known to become violent is in response to threats against his mate. If anything tries to hurt her, he will attack it without hesitation. He grows worried easily if he cannot find her for some reason, and other dragons joke behind his back that he's a lost puppy and she's his mommy.
