Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aquinoa deviates from the norm of her fellow Moonstones by being quite vain and disagreeable. The glow of her tail-stone is one of the strongest of her kind, and she constantly preens over this fact. Those she deems more beautiful than she gain her ire; the starry Nebula dragons of the Dusk Divide Keep where she lives rival her as a whole, so she repays this offense by flying about at night and flouncing her luminescence past the stargazers. Those who have had enough of Aquinoa's intrusions gather together and mob the Moonstone on dark nights.
