Hooktalon Dragons are a two-headed breed named for the long, curved claw that grows on the first finger of each of their hands. Their skin is tough and covered in razor sharp, tooth-like scales, and as they age they grow a dense, keratinous club on the end of their tail. Wild Hooktalons live in migratory, matriarchal clans around deserts and hot scrublands, hunting and stealing kills from other dragons as they please. They are notoriously ill-tempered and the females, being the largest and most aggressive of their kind, will often lash out at their male counterparts in brief, explosive disputes over anything and everything. The only creature with which a Hooktalon will not fight is itself: though the dragon has two heads and thus two brains, a strong connection between its brains allows them to function as one.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

Urmitte was born in the harsh desert, where, following those around him, he grew up to be aggressive and chronically ill-tempered. As such, fighting became a habit of his, and he often sought out dragons in the Cave (where a human seemed to be raising dragons of many species) to brawl with.

He is now an adult, and seems to show no sign of stopping. He has learned his place in the order of things, and from experience, now avoids any dragon that uses magic along with Korzak, the fell dragon. His biggest rival, however, is the brute dragon Burnok, and Urmitte will often go out of his way just to fight him. The two have a mutual hatred of each other, and have each gotten their share of grave injuries (much to the frustration of the white dragon Aeysila) during combat with each other.

Despite his bad temper, other dragons in the Cave have hope that one day, Urmitte may find a mate somewhere and settle down, giving them peace and perhaps leading him, finally, to a calmer and happier life.
