Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

LW (Little Warrior) pricked his ears forward and sat up straight as he watched a fiery display of dominance before him. Two juvenile males were in the heat of battle, and at each others' throats. He watched in awe, snapping his fangs and whipping his tail, lost in his fantasy as a hero. The winner of the battle turned his head and snorted at him. LW quickly reacted and leaped out for the juvenile's throat when all of a sudden, LW was suspended in midair. He looked up to see his mother's dazzling green eyes, she had wrapped her tail around him and pulled him closer, and away from the juvenile. "Some day, you will have your chance Little Warrior," she whispered, "Someday..."
