Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Amarawien fancies herself a brilliant writer, able to spin beautiful fantasies or horrible battles with only a quill and piece of parchment. However she is hopelessly verbose and often speaks just to hear the sound of her own telepathic voice. Others have joked that she can talk more in a minute than most in a month, and these tendencies reflect in her writing. To Amarawien, the sky can't just be blue. Instead she will say, "The wide plane of air sung with brilliant azure notes." Where a there is simple explanation, she will fill its place with a long-winded description. While she is a rather interesting dragon to talk to and her stories possess many wonderful ideas, many quickly tire of hearing her reiterate that same sentence five different ways with her overly wordy imagery, leaving her with few friends.
