Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Rare is a dragon who thinks eternal youth is a fun or interesting prospect, yet Larsaniath volunteered for the process. Perhaps because her mother and father already generally act like children, she decided that growing old was something she didn't want to do. Lo and behold, Kevlus had recently researched an anti-aging spell which he was looking to test.

Oddly enough it was Latinicus who reacted most vehemently to the suggestion, giving everyone pause, but Larsaniath explained that it was her choice and her life, and that no one could make it for her.
