Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems rather lazy.

And look! It’s gotten much larger and grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

In a peculiar old legend, it was said that a certain milky-white cow would possess great magical properties if fed a blood red cape, hair as yellow as corn and a pure gold slipper. All these items could be found in the arcane woods.

At first, this hatchling was uninterested in the story until she finally took the time to go through the elements. Now, she herself has secretly been venturing into the woods around her grandmother's cave to find the items and a white cow.
