Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A gentle and affectionate creature, this female often goes far out of her way to help others. Swift to rush to the scene of any disaster, she'll share both food and home with the victims, and will take in any orphans she discovers to boot. Her kindly heart and habit of adopting new youngsters on a near monthly basis has led to the rapid expansion of her pack, which now prides itself as one of the largest and most highly regarded Copper clans in the surrounding territories. But even that isn't enough for the determined creature. Entrusting the young to the rest of the tribe while she goes out in search of trouble, she's recently heard terrible rumors of a place where dozens upon dozens of young dragons are abandoned in the wild to fend for themselves. If that's true, then clearly that's where she and her clan need to be!
