When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Yin Shi is a complete hermit.  Although one of the oldest water dragons, she does not care about anything happening in the world.  She avoids anyone who comes near her river, human or dragon, and shoos away anyone who attempts to settle on it by causing large waves to destroy riverside buildings. Yin Shi was born even before her river had begun to flow.  Ancient humans had built a complicated system of levees to bring water from a mountain spring down to their valley, but after several years, the system began to break.  Huge amounts of water were threatening to flood their city.  Yin Shi used all her strength to push up piles of mud and create a trench to divert the water which eventually became the Mishi River, where she lives to this day. Yin Shi is the only dragon to have ever read the lost Book of Scales, which holds the secrets to unity among humans and dragons. Despite the fact the knowledge in it can end the war between humans and dragons, she doesn't particularly care to share.
