When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Watcher of the Waves is a proud, sometimes shy, but majestic water dragon, the child of Princess of Water and Rhamus. His only child is called Warrum, whom is also a water dragon, though has recently died. His mate is a purple dragon named Yellow-whipper. He loves to meet new dragons, and make friends, and can sometimes be a bit arrogant at times, especially if he sees another dragon near his mate. He dwells in a large lake filled with dozens of fish, which he likes to catch. He has an adventurous side to him, yet has never left his lake. He is one of Snowflame's dragons, and is respected by them all. He is friends with Swirling light and Night-time dreamer, though he does let them talk to his mate. He is an enjoyable dragon to be around.
