Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He was only a simple dragon from a simple island, and for the most part he was content with that. After all, one could find excitement there if they wished; assisting his grandmother in finding soup ingredients, helping his sister wrangle seagulls, saving girls who fell from the sky--

Well, no, that last bit was NOT so usual! And yet there it was; a young female dragon named Tetra, seemingly of around his age, toppling out of the claws of a massive bird and into the middle of his island. The first of the villagers who ran to her aid, he succeeded in driving off some of the lesser beasts attacking her--only to watch in horror as, mistaking his sister for the girl, the demon roc snatched her up and bore her off at a speed he could not follow. Quick to chase after in pursuit, he took up residence on the ship of the dragon he'd rescued, thinking only of saving his sister--and utterly unaware that both he and Tetra would soon find themselves at the center of a war between good and evil.
