When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Water zbro was once one of the great dragons of the north. In four separate realms the elemental dragons ruled fire, water, earth and wind. The flooded canyon held the Water soul. The Magma river held the fire ocean, the cloud spires sported the willow the wisp(wind), and the vines of earth supported Green cave. However evil took over and all of these dragons were thrown from their realms to return in the distant future. Many have mistaken this dragon as normal, however he has lost his name of water soul but still poses elemental power and roams the seas destroying ships that pollute the water of the realm he dwells in. Now he can only dream of the power he has lost, he's an average dragon, doing what he can to protect the seas. He has a tough leathery hide and being a water dragon he cannot breathe fire, he uses a long snout to catch fish in the ocean.
