This hatchling appears to be... dead?

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This is Walsiki, a vampire dragon who never got the chance to grow up. The dragons of the Uncita Clan agreed that her gender would be a female. Walsiki knows it's too dangerous to hunt by herself since she's only a hatchling, so usually one of the hatchlings from the clan have to sacrifice themselves in order to give Walsiki the blood she needs.
