Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Health" in Japanese. He is one of the many sons of Kentaro and Kiyomi, and was raised in one of their largest clutches. He was raised alongside his brothers Heisui, Abanchu-ru, and Genshirin; as well as his older sisters Kigi, Insei, and Kuroi-Biki; and his older brother Zensho. While his brothers are very adventurous, and always getting into trouble, Kenkou is much more laid back, and only tagged along to make sure that his brothers wouldn't get hurt. He is a healer, like his mom, even though he is not a white dragon. He is very talented, and uses herbs and magic to help others. He met his mate, Soshina, after she injured herself. Kenkou helped heal her, and soon they were in love. They had a sweet and tender courtship, and on a beautiful morning in early spring, they became mates. They are so in love, and always will be.
