Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Nightmare Night is an evil dragon even to her own kind. She not only burns forests and villages to the ground for food, but sometimes she'll do so just out of the sheer joy it brings her, sometimes leaving the charred remains of her victims for others to see. This causes panic and fear among the humans and she fully enjoys it. However she tries to keep her terrible crimes secret from her mate, Glacier Permafrost, as he is a noble ruler from the north. As an attempt to hide her malicious deeds she had kicked her daughter, Bliz out of the nest early and told her she was on her own. Nightmare did this for another reason aside from keeping her secret. She hadn't hunted while raising her to hide her actions, she just couldn't resist the temptation any longer. She plans to do the same with her second Ice child, once it matures enough to leave the nest so she can go hunting once more.
