Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Hidden deep within the foggy marsh is a lake. And in that lake, Song waits. Long ago, before the fog consumed the sky and the rivers flooded the ground, he grew up here. It was a happy place that many took as their home. One day Song fell in love with a beautiful Flamingo Wyvern and took her as mate. It would have been perfect...if not for the endless rain. Dark, looming clouds that seemed to go on forever. Sensing danger, most fled, but Song stayed with his mate, promising they would be ok. When the rain hit, it was already too late. The skies dumped gallons until the rivers swelled and flooded. It drenched everything until even plants drowned. The water dragged anything into its swirling depths. Song watched his mate get swept away, unable to reach her in time. Defeated, Song waited for the water to consume him, only it didn't. It stopped, but the water and fog never left. Song waited for his mate to come back, on perhaps the slim illusion she survived. And he waits there still.
