Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Before IT happened, Pemri was famous for hating those of the undead race. He was born in Creorluna and always hated the Black Grave faction of the clan. When their leader, Leeta, escaped, Black Grave became obsolete and he was given the pleasure of slaughtering those left behind.

He helped set Leeta's new Coven's cave on fire. Ironically, that night, Black Grave's few bitter survivors happened across his camp, a chance to wreak vengeance on their old clan. Pemri managed to escape, but severely wounded and alone, left to bleed out and die a slow death.

He would have, had Leeta and the other Equinox not found him. They believed he was one of their own members; for as death crept across him, he transformed into a vampire himself. Leeta nursed him back to health. When he woke, he fled, horrified at what he had become.

He's been evading what he is ever since, refusing to look at anything reflective and desperately ignoring the blood dripping down his lips whenever he is forced to feed.
